More mix disc covers from my recent past

More old mix disc covers and tray cards. A few mixes got misplaced or damaged over the years, but I still have most of them.

Two mixes of tracks pulled exclusively from my vinyl.

LEFT: I don't really hate jazz. I just thought it would be funny if THAT'S what got such a reaction from those people.
RIGHT: SOTT stands for "Son of Tape Tree", which was a mix exchange on the Audities power pop list.

some pics from a recent New York trip

ABOVE: Joe Strummer wall painting - I don't remember exactly where this is. I recall taking the picture somewhere after drinking lots of beer and before drinking more beer.

ABOVE: Noodles at a little place behind a news stand and a shoe shop in "the other China Town". A fabulous place with only 4 tables and some of the greatest smells ever. I would never be able to find this place again.

Mix Disc Mania! A look back at some old mix discs.

Here are some older mix disc covers and backtrays that I've made over the years. I've always loved putting together mixes, first on tape and then eventually CD-Rs, but occasionally having a good cover idea was enough to make me start a new mix.

I don't remember exactly who said it, but the title is a reference to a story told on a talk show about being treated like an insider at oldschool Jersey restaurants with tips like "it's not on the menu, but try the Steak Sinatatra. To die For!"

I'm a sucker for a good theme disc, and songs about the radio is a pretty easy one (along with the classic "Girl's Name Songs" and "Calendar Songs" themes).

Lights at Sox Park. Yes, I know it has a corporate name, but I try to not use it whenever possible.

some pictures of the DuPage Theater in Lombard Illinois

I think there's an ordinance on the books that says if you're going to take more than three pictures of buildings in Lombard, at least one of them has to be of the abandoned DuPage Theater.
